Every group organizer for student and adult groups faces the same problems:
How to choose the best possible trip with:
- a limited number of days to travel
- keeping the cost affordable
- maximizing the number of countries, cities and sites to visit
After creating educational tours for students and adults for over 35 years, here are some tips:
- 8-10 day trip = two countries = change two or max. three hotels
- 10-12 day trip = two to three countries = change three or max. four hotels
Inter-country or inter-city transportation:
On European tours where the transportation network is at a high level the use of low cost air carriers or speedy trains between cities instead of buses is a must. Huge buses with 50-64 seats is cheaper than a train but a bus needs 4.5 hours to go between Rome and Florence and a high speed train only takes 1.5 hours.
Weather conditions:
-are an important factor which will either make your trip great or "not so great"
-traveling in Spring to Europe: choose Mediterranean destinations
-traveling in spring to Europe: start from the most southern city and end in the most northern city.
-traveling to Europe in Summer: try to avoid South Mediterranean countries in August (time of "collective vacation" for Europeans)
-traveling to Southern Asia: ask your agent about "Monsoon Season"
-traveling to Central-South America: January to mid April is the best. Travel during the other months of the year could result in daily rainfall because of wet season
