Then flight to Argentinian South and the town of El Calafate, to visit world's famous Perito Moreno glacier,
Then cross Rio de la Plata to reach Uruguay and visit the unique border town of Colonia, once the battlefield between the Spanish and Portuguese Kings, restored to the glory of the 16th century,
Day-1. DEPARTURE CITY-BUENOS AIRES: Overnight flight to Buenos Aires.
Day-2. BUENOS AIRES: Arrive Ezeiza airport before noon, and transfer to your centrally located hotel next to Floridia, the main shopping artery of the city. Then visit Costanera Sur, El Rosedal, Recoleta, and Palermo Chico. Dinner in original Argentinian steak house.
Day-3. BUENOS AIRES: Morning guided city tour to visit: Plaza de Mayo, The Pink House, The Cabildo, the Cathedral, Plaza de los Dos Congresos, San Telmo (Colonial Buenos Aires), La Boca, Caminito, and Puerto Madero. Free afternoon to explore Floridia, a shopping paradise of Buenos Aires. Also see a unique way of the city's way of life when the citizens stop at the corners of the street and start to dance tango as their way of exercise.
Day-4: COUNTRYSIDE: Enjoy a full day excursion to one of estancias, Argentinian ranch) to see and witness a daily life of the gauchos (cowboys), You can also participate in activities such as horseback riding and trekking. Then enjoy a complete Argentinean traditional BBQ and some fun with the gauchos. Late return to Buenos Aires.
DAY 5: BUENOS AIRES – EL CALAFATE
Morning flight to the Argentinian part of Patagonia. Arrive in El Calafate in the afternoon and transfer to our hotel. In the evening walkin g tour of the central area.
DAY 6: EL CALAFATE
After an early breakfast we will leave for a full excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier situated in Los Glaciers National Park. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1981 and is home to one of the most awe inspiring landscapes of Argentina. Not only will we have the chance to enjoy stunning views of the glacier from the nearby walking trail and viewing platforms but we will also take a boat cruise that takes us close enough to fully appreciate the 80m high ice walls of the glacier!
Day-7. EL CALAFATE - BUENOS AIRES: Today’s excursion begin with a coach ride to the port of Punta Bandera in Los Glaciers National Park from which we will embark on a three hour cruise. We sail among icebergs and stunning scenery overlooking the western front of the Upsala Glacier and disembark at the Estancia after passing through the Cristina Canal. We will visit the Costumbrista Museum and then ascend in all-terrain vehicles through mountainous roads to the Continental ice shelter. Next we’ll visit the oriental front of the Upsala Glacier, Lake Guillermo, Southern Patagonian ice and the Andes. Late afternoon flight to Buenos Aires.
Day-8. COLONIA (URUGUAY): Walk to La Plata pier, and board the ship to cross the river before we reach the town of Colonia Explore this great town the centre of battles between the Portuguese and the Spanish Kingdom for over 300 years. The town is now under the protection of UNESCO, and most of the houses have been restored to their 16th century style. Do not forget to try some great beef specialties. Late return to Buenos Aires.
Day-9. DEPARTURE: Free day in Buenos Aires before late evening return flight to Canada. Arrival next day.
