Day-1. TRAVEL TO PARIS: Flight to Paris.

Day-2. PARIS - GUEUDECOURT - ARRAS: Morning arrival Paris and board the Motor coach for ride through French countryside to village of Gueudecourt to see the caribou statue on the place commemorating Newfoundland Battalion. Then to the town of Albert and village of Beaumont-Hamel, site of the battle of La Somme.  See the trenches and battlefield where the Newfoundland Regiment battled Germans in July 1916. Also see Hawthorn, Ravine and Hunters Cemetery.  Then to Arras for dinner and overnight.

Day-3. VIMY RIDGE - FLANDERS - ARRAS: Travel to Vimy Ridge, for tour of the battlefield, where Canadian forces battled Germans in 1917. See the monument, walk through the tunnels and trenches and visit the new Canadian Pavilion. Then just a short ride to the city of Ypres for Flanders tour. Stop in St. Julien and Vancouver Corner, to see the Brooding Soldier. Then to Sanctuary Wood Museum Hill 62, Essex Farm Cemetery  and Paschendale, where 16 000 Canadian soldiers died. Later visit Flanders Field Museum. At 8 pm. attend Last Post Ceremony at Menin Gate, before late return to Arras.

Day-4. ARRAS - DIEPPE: Travel through  Pass-Calais to Dieppe. Upon arrival walking tour of the town known as the site of Canadian army landing in 1942. Visit the beaches, just outside the city, the Canadian Museum and the Canadian War Cemetery. Late afternoon walking tour through the Old Town and along the beaches.

Day-5. DIEPPE - BAYEUX: Ride through coastal Normandy. Stop in Rouen, a historic city where William the Conqueror died and the place of the trial and execution of Joan of Arc. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral and then just a short ride to Arromanches les-Bains, a small fishing village which was turned into the military harbour and famous Point du Hoc. Then to Bayeux for check in and dinner.

Day-6. LANDING BEACHES - PARIS: Travel to Courseulles-sur-Mer for guided tour of Juno Beach Centre. Then walking tour along Juno Beach where Canadian forces landed in June 1944.  Later visit well Memorial Pegasus, dedicated to the men of the 6thAirborne Division and their heroic actions during the Battle of Normandy 1944. End your Normandy tour with visit to Canadian Cemetery in Beny-sur-Mer. Then ride to Paris. Upon arrival, panoramic tour of the city to see the main sits such as: the Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde, Champs Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Trocadero, and Opera Garnier. Then to your centrally located hotel in Bastille for dinner and overnight.

Day-7. PARIS: Metro to Les Hales to visit the oldest Parisian open air food market, and place where most of the Parisian chefs buy their daily products. Great place to sample the pastries and famous French cheese. Then cross the bridge and enter Île de la Cité, the cradle of Parisian history, and place where Roman Army built their first military camp after the “battle of Lutecia”.  Inside visit of Notre Dame, and then via Pont Neuf, to view Conciergerie Prison where Marie Antoinette spend her last days, before execution in Place de la Concorde. Late afternoon and evening visit Louvre. one of the greatest art museums in the world.

Day-8. VERSAILLES & PARIS: Board RER train for ride to Versailles  for guided tour of famous Chateau Versailles, amazing palace built by the order of King Louis XIV, the Sun King. Later explore the town before we return to Paris for tour of Montmartre and Basilica scare Coeur. Then to Galleries Lafayette, to visit the Dome terrace, with amazing view over the city. Some free time in the afternoon before Mariden dinner in original Parisian bistro. 

Day-9. DEPARTURE. Free time before transfer to the airport for your return flight to Canada.
