Day-1. TRAVEL TO GREECE.
Day-2. THESSALONIKI: Early afternoon arrival. Clear the customer nab board the Motor coach for ride to the city. After check in and refreshment walking tour of the second largest city in Greece, and place where St. Paul arrived on his second missionary journey. Visit the Church of St. Demetrios, built in 5th BC, and the remain of the Roman Theatre.
Day-3. THE MONASTERIES: Ride to Ouranoupolis, and then board the ferry for great ride along the peninsula to Mont Athos, known asa the Virgin Mary’s Gardens. During this boat ride you will see seven monasteries, the jewels of Orthodoxy. Then ride to Nea Fokea, to to see the place of Agiasma of St. Paul, the underground corridor where St. Paul was hidden when the people of Thessaloniki was running after him.Late return to
Day-4. THESSALONIKI-METEORA: Scenic ride through Central Macedonia. Stop in Veria, to see the “Vima of St. Paul”, place of his preaching, and then to Verging, place of King Philip Tomb (father of Alexander the Great). Late arrival Kalambaka, the gateway to the Meteora Monasteries. B.D.
Day-5. METEORA - DELPHI: Tour of the unique and amazing rock tower monasteries. First visit Varlaam monastery, built founded on 16th century and located on the top of a on the rock on hight of 380m. Then to Monastery of St. Stephan, with great museum inside. Later we will visit Agia Triada (the "Holy Trinity”) with the best view over there area. End the day in Ithea, seaside town next to Delphi
Day-6. DELPHI-OLYMPIA: A short ride to nearby Delphi, the world known site from early Greek history and the most celebrated place for Greeks. This site was from the original Pythian Games, a meeting place for poets, philosophers, writers and politicians. The guided tour includes sites such as: the Temple of Apollo, Delphic Senate, Arcades, and the Club of Kinkidians. Also visit the Archeological Museum, then cross the new opened bridge to reach Olympia for overnight.
Day-7. OLYMPIA-TOLO: Visit Ancient Olympia, the original site of the first Olympic Games in 776 BC. Visit the remains of the Gymnasium, see the columns of Wrestling School and the Temple of Hera where the Olympic flame originates before being taken to the site of all modern Olympic Games. You will also have the chance to race on the site of the original track field. Then along the coast and through the Central Peloponnese to reach the seaside town of Tolo for overnight.
Day-8. TOLO-NAFLION: Join your tour director on an excursion to Naflion, the former capital of Greece, located just 10 km from Tolo. Join your walking tour through the former Ottoman Area, port and the fish market. Later, rejoin your tour director on a challenging climb to the Palamidi Fortress, built by the Venetians in the 17th century for an amazing view over the town. Rest of the day is free for some sun tanning on the beaches
Day-9. TOLO-ARGOLIS-ATHENS: Journey through the Peloponnese. Visit Epidaurus well preserved and acoustically perfect ancient theatre, used for performances and orators. Later continue to Mycenae to visit the remains of Palace of Agamemnon and Lion's Gate. Then observe the fortress of Acrocorinth before you walk over the Corinth Bridge, overlooking the man made canal between the Saronic and Corinth Gulfs. Late arrival Athens and your centrally located, four star hotel next to Omonia Square for overnight.
Day-10. ATHENS: During your guided city tour, visit the Acropolis Site with: Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheum, Continue on to Constitution Square, the heartbeat of the city. Seize a a photo-op at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where you will see the changing of the guards performed by Evzones. and then to Omonia Square and the 2000 years old Stadium. Later, join your tour director on walking tour to see the Library, Academia and the University, as well as Cathedral of St. Denis. Later join your tour director on walking tour to Monastiraki Ottoman Market and Plaka, the most popular tourist area of the city. Rest of the day is free. Rest of the day is free.
