Day-1. DEPARTURE CITY-LISBON: Overnight trans Atlantic flight to Portugal
Day-2. LISBON: Transfer to your centrally located hotel and enjoy a casual walking tour of Lisbon, inside the Moorish Walls and the Pombal area.
Day-3. LISBON:Tour Lisbon and see the two Manueline Jewels, Belem Tower, the symbol of Lisbon guarding the mouth of the Tagus, and Praca do Imperio with Jeronimo's Monastery containing the tombs of Vasco da Gama and Luis de Camoes. Then explore Alfama district and Castelo de Sao Jorge.
Day-4. SINTRA-NIGHT TRAIN: Travel to Sintra, the royal retreat town with amazing Paco Real, Palacio da Vila, Church of Sao Martinho, Church of Misericordia, Hanging Post and the Clock Tower. In the evening board the night sleeper train to Madrid.
Day-5. MADRID: Morning arrival and start with city tour. See/Visit: Puerta del Sol, Retiro Park, Gateway to the Sun, the Opera, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de la Villa, Basilica de San Miguel and Capilla del Obispo. Then check in at your centrally located hotel next to Puerta del Sol, zero point of the city. Later, join your tour director on walking tour along Gran Via.
Day-6. MADRID: Walk to Palacio Real, for inside guided tour of the Palace of Spanish Royal family. See the state chambers, the armoury rooms and the courtyard. Then walk to Prado Museum a Neo-Gothic building from the 18th century housing masterpieces by Velasquez, Goya, Murillo, and Ribera as well as Flemish and Italian works. Free afternoon or take the optional tour of Reina Sofia Museum of Contemporary Art to see world's famous El Guernica, painted by Pablo Picasso.
Day-7. TOLEDO EXCURSION: Full day excursion, to visit Toledo, the former capital of Spain also known as the "Pink city" and home of famous painter El Grecco. See / visit : The Cathedral, Alcazar, Synagogue de Santa Maria la Blanca, Puente del Alcantar and Sao Tome Church. Later visit Toledo Sword production which manufactures the swords , blades, sabres, armours and medieval items for many years. Late return to Madrid
Day-8. MADRID-BARCELONA: Morning departure for ride through Spanish plains to reach Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, established already during the Roman time. Upon arrival, travel along el Paseo de Gracia for a panoramic view of the city with special emphasis on the unique and great architecture of Gaudí. La Casa Batlló, Casa Mila and the famous Sagrada Familia are all viewed. Short stop for group photo in front of Sagrada and then to your hotel located next to la Rambla.
Day-9. BARCELONA: Visit La Boqueria, a huge market in Ciutat Vella with booths selling fresh products from Catalan farms, including famous El Cadros Jambon. Then tour the Barri Gothic, established already during the Roman time. See/visit: Temple of Augustus, Palau Episcopal, Roman Walls, the Archdeacon House, Main Royal Palace, the Cathedral, Ribera Quarter, and Battlo House, created by Antonio Gaudi. Free afternoon or join your tour director on tour to Park Guell, decorated by amazing sculptures created by Antonio Gaudi. In the evening an optional flamenco show with tapas dinner at Tablao de Carmen, considered as the the best Flamenco spot in Spain.
