Day-1. DEPARTURE CITY - LONDON: Afternoon / overnight flight to London.
Day-2. LONDON: Morning arrival, and have a guided panoramic tour. See: the Tower Bridge, H.M.S. Belfast, the Tower of London, St. Paul Cathedral, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, and Houses of Parliament. Then to your centrally located hotel in Kensington. After refreshment break, metro to Piccadilly Circus. Then, Fish & Chips supper in typical British eatery
Day-3. LONDON: Walk to Buckingham Palace to see Changing of the Guard performed by the Royal soldiers. Then just a short walk through St. James Park for inside tour of Churchill’s War Rooms, the British command centre during WW II. Later, walking tour along the Strand and Tames River. Rest of the day is free. In the evening an optional West End theatre show.
Day-4. LONDON - PARIS: Visit Tate Museum for Modern art, one of greatest art museums in Europe. Some free time in the afternoon along Oxford and Regent Street, the shopping are of the city, before transfer to St. Pancras train station for two hours train ride to Paris. Upon arrival, panoramic tour of Paris to see: the Eiffel Tower, Opera Garnier, le Bastille, Place de la Concorde, the Obelisk, Champs Elysees, Place de la Republique, Ecole Militaire, Tuilleries Gardens, and Les Invalides, Then transfer to your Montmartre hotel. Late in the evening join your tour director on walking tour to artistic Montmartre with traditional sketch makers and open air crepe stores and basilica Sacre Coeur.
Day-5. PARIS: Metro to Ille de la Cite, the cradle of Parisian civilization, place where the Roman army sat up their fist camp, and place where the prisoners from French Revolution spend their last days. Enjoy the inside visit of Notre Dame and then along Pont Neuf and Place Dauphine, to view Conciergerie Prison from where during the revolution, over 1,350 prisoners including Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVII. were sent to the guillotine on Place de la Concorde. Then to Marais, the best kept secret of the city, with labyrinth of cobble-stone streets, posh villas, medieval courtyards ands endless art galleries, antique stores and pastry. shops. View Place de Vosges, probably the most beautiful palace in Paris before you visit Louvre Museum. End the day with a walking tour to Arc d’ Triumph and along Champs Elysees.
Day-6. PARIS - VERSAILLES: Morning travel to nearby town of Versailles to visit Chateau Versailles, the lavish palace of of Louis XIV, the Sun King. Visit: the Royal Chapel, Drawing Rooms, the Royal Bedrooms, Map Gallery and the courtyard. Lunch break in the town and return to Paris and board Bateaux Mouches for cruise on Seine River. Some free time in the afternoon. We suggest to you to visit Galleries Lafayette’s seventh floor glass dome and observatory with amazing view over the city.
Day-7. PARIS - AVIGNON: Transfer to Gare d’ Lyon for TGV train ride to Avignon. Upon arrival explore this great medieval town and the center of European Christianity for over 400 years. Visit Palais des Papes, where Pope Clement V sought refuge from the turmoil in Rome in the 14th century, Pont d’ Avignon and Place d’ Horloge. Then to your hotel located inside the medieval walls and just 300 m. from Popes Palace.
Day-8. ARLES-MARSEILLES: Travel to Arles to explore one of the main Roman cities during the ancient time. See its well preserved Roman monuments like: the Amphitheater, the Bath of Constantine, the Alyscamps as well as the sites from medieval time like Place de Ville and Saint Trophime. Then have a coffee break in the cafe where Van Gogh created his famous painting. Then travel to Marseilles for visit of Notre Dame de la Garde crowning the city, before we end the day in the hotel next to Marina.
