Explore Paris, city with over 2000 years of history, with its grand avenues, boulevards and parks. Stay in your hotel in artistic Montmartre in walking distance to all main sites. Visit Louvre, one of the greatest art museums in the world and splendid Chateaux Versailles.
Then board the speedy TGV train for ride to Provence, are known since the Ancient Rome. Visit Avignon, the center of European Christianity for over 400 years, Nimes and Arles, built by Romans, and end the tour in sea-side town of Marseilles.

Day-1. DEPARTURE CITY-PARIS: Afternoon/overnight flight to Paris. 

Day-2. PARIS: Arrival Paris and transfer to the city. Then start with panoramic tour of the capital with several stops.  During the tour you will also see: Le Bastille, Luxembourg Garden, Sorbonne University, Latin Quarter, Champ d’ Mars, Champ Elisees, the National Assembly and Place de la Concorde. Then to your hotel in historical Bastille. After check in, supper close to hotel and walking tour along Seine.

Day-3. PARIS: Walk to Marais, the best "secret" of Paris, a labyrinth of cobble-stone streets, old courtyards, posh villas, art galleries, and pastry. shops. View Place de Vosges, the most beautiful palace in Paris before we enter Ille de la Cite, the cradle of Parisian civilization, and place where the Roman army sat up their fist camp.  Inside visit of Notre Dame and then along Pont Neuf to Conciergerie Prison from where during the revolution, over 1,350 prisoners including Marie Antoinette and Louis XVII. were sent to the guillotine. Then to Love for inside visit of one of the best art museums in the world. Then along Tuiliers Garden and along Seine to Pont d' Alma and board Bateaux Mouches cruise on Seine. 

Day-4. VERSAILLES & PARIS: Board RER train for short ride to the town of Versailles. Then just a short walk to the Palace built by the order of Louis XIV, the "Sun King". See the Royal Chapel, the Drawing Room, the Royal bedrooms, the Guard's Rooms and the courtyard. Lunch in Versailles (instead of dinner in Paris) and then return to Paris for visit of Galleries Lafayette glass Dome on the 7th floor with amazing view over the city. then some free time at this famous department store, or join your tour director on walking tour of Montmartre.

Day-5. PARIS-NIMES-AVIGNON: Board speedy TGV train for great ride through French countryside to Nimes. Walking tour of the city build by Caesar. Visit Arena, view Maison Caree and the local market. Then to Avignon. En route stop at Pont du Garde to see this amazing aqueduct build by Roman soldier as the main water supply for Roman army. Then to Avignon and your hotel inside the medieval walls.

Day-6. AVIGNON: walking tour of this great town, the centre of European Christianity for over 400 years. Walk to Place de Horologe, inside visit of Popes Palace and walk to Pont d' Avignon. Later visit the local market. Do not forget to try some delicious pastries.

Day-7. ARLES-MARSEILLES:  Travel to Arles, build by Romans as the main trading post. View the Arena and the explore medieval Arles also known as the city where French painters spend time creating their masterpieces. Relax at Cafe Terrace, a small restaurant where Van Gogh painted his two masterpieces, Cafe terrace and Stary Nights. Then to marseilles and your hotel next to the port.

Day-8. MARSEILLES: Walking tour of the oldest city in France, established as the Greek colony in 4th BC, build by Romand and developed in 9th century. Steep walk to the hill for visit to Notre dame de la Garde, crowning the city, Roman Docks and the Marina.In the afternoon boat ride to nearby Chateau d' If, a massive fortress and former prison, mostly known from Alexander Dumas' novel Count of Monte Christo.
