Day-1.  DEPARTURE CITY-ROME:  Afternoon and overnight flight to Italy.

Day-2. ROME: Arrival Rome early afternoon and transfer to your centrally located hotel, just 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum. After check in and refreshment break, join your tour director on walking tour along the Avenue of the Emperors to see the main sites of Ancient Rome: the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine,  Roman Forum, Trajan Forum, Capitoline Hill, and Victor Emanuel Monument and Piazza Venezia. 

Day-3. ROME-VATICAN: Metro ride to Vatican. Visit the Vatican Museum with the Greek Cross Room, Maps Gallery, Raphael Lodge, Sistine Chapel, seat of the Conclave for the election of popes, and St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest Catholic church in the world with Michelangelo’s La Pieta.   After lunch break in Vatican, join your tour director on walking tour to see Castel San Angelo, created as burial tomb for Emperor Hadrian, Navona Square and Pantheon. Then along via Corso, the shopping paradise of Rome, to Trevi Fountain, one of the main symbols of Rome. Great place for the best gelato in Italy and to have some fun. Later have some free time and fun  around Piazza Spagna, the main meeting point for young travellers to Rome. 

Day-4. CASSINO-POMPEII-SORRENTO:Board the Motor coach and travel toward the city of Naples. En route stop in Montecasino, to visit the Montecasino War Memorial where over 4,000 Commonwealth and Canadian  soldiers died during the battles in WW II. Then to along the Bay of Naples to Sorrento and your four star hotel with swimming pool. Evening walking tour along via Corso and Marina.

Day-5. CAPRI EXCURSION: Boat ride to the Island of Capri, known as the town where Emperor Augustus built his first summer retreat, followed by Emperor Tiberius who built the famous Villa Jovis.  Lucila, the sister of Emperor Commodus, was imprisoned and executed in Capri. (In movie Gladiator, her faith was presented differently.)Also see  the old Greek Faraglioni lighthouses, and the lemon perfume production. Late return to Sorrento for some free time.

Day-6. POMPEII-NAPLES-NIGHT FERRY: Relax morning in Sorrento before we travel to Ancient Pompeii. Upon arrival start with guided tour of the ruins of Ancient Pompeii, once the prosperous town of 30.000 which disappeared under the volcanic ashes after the eruption of Vesuvius in AD. 79. Later panoramic tour of Naples before we board the evening night ferry to Sicily

Day-7. SIRACUSA-CATANIA: Morning arrival Catania and board the Motor coach for panoramic tour of the city. See the Ursino Castle and the Roman theatre before we continue along the east coast of Sicily to Ancient Siracusa, one of the oldest cities in Italy known as the Greek colony since 7th BC. Walking tour of walled peninsula Ortigia, Syracuse Cathedral, Duomo di  Siracusa, and the theatre. Late return to Catania. 

Day-8. ETNA VOLCANO-TAORMINA: Exciting ride from the blue waters of Sicilian coast to snow caped Mt. Etna, the only one active volcano in Europe, known by it’s sporadic eruptions. Upon arrival to Sapienza Refuge,  join your tour director on steep walk to the edge of the crater  covered with black lava. Later drive toward the coast passing the small Sicilian villages known from movie Godfather, to Taormina, the jewel of Sicilian coast nestled high on the cliffs. Visit the Greek Theatre built in 4th century BC, Church of St. Caterina, Duomo Messina Gate,  Badia Vechia, and the Clock Tower. Late return to your hotel.

Day-9. CATANIA-PALERMO: Travel through  Sicilian country side. Stop in Ena, amazing cliff side town built during the  medieval time. The visit Fashion Sicilia, the largest shopping outlet in Italy with famous fashion stores from all over the world. Then along the Northern shores of Sicily to reach Palermo, the capital of the Island. Visit amazing Cathedral of Palermo,  considered as one of the best medieval churches in Europe, Teatro Massimo and Balaro Market. Then to your four star beach hotel for dinner and overnight.
