Day-1. DEPARTURE CITY - EUROPE: Flight to Europe. (Friday)
Day-2. MADRID: Arrival early afternoon and transfer to the city for panoramic tour to see the main sites like: Retiro Park, Puerta del Sol, the Opera, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de la Villa, Basilica de San Miguel and Capilla del Obispo. Then to your hotel located just 100 m. from Puerta del Sol. After check in and early tapas dinner in original Castilian tapas eatery, transfer to soccer stadium for evening soccer match featuring Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid
Day-3. MADRID: Guided tour of Palacio Real. Visit some of 3,418 rooms decorated with frescoes and paintings of famous Spanish artists as well as the Armoury Hall, Courtyard, Royal Library, and Royal Alcazar, built by Moorish Kings. Then walk to El Rastro, the best known Castilian open food market. See display (and preparation) of some traditional Castilian dishes like: cider chorizo, Galician octopus, Mancheco cheese and different kind of tapas. Later walk to Prado one of the greatest art museums in the world, housing masterpieces by Velasquez, Goya, Murillo, and Ribera.
Day-4. EL ESCORIAL & SEGOVIA: Full day excursion to Castilian countryside. First travel to El Escorial, built in 16th century as the royal retreat of Fillip II, and one of the best palaces in the world, packed with priceless art from paintings, sculptures, painted ceilings, frescoes, parks and amazing furniture. Then travel to Segovia to visit the city established already in Roman time. See great aqueduct used as the main water supply for the Roman army, the Cathedral of Segovia and grandiose Alcazar built during the rules of Moorish Kings. Late return to Madrid.
Day-5. MADRID: Free day in Madrid for group or individual activities. You can visit famous Madrilene Bull Ring, or take a guided tour of Santiago Barnebau, Real Madrid stadium tour. Or visit Reina Sofia Art Museum where you can find one of the most famous paintings in the world, Picasso's La Guernica. Or just relax along Gran Via and visit Il Corte Ingles, the shopping paradise of Madrid.
Day-6. MADRID-BARCELONA: Morning departure Madrid. Stop in Zaragoza for short walking tour to see Aljaferia and Puenta del Piedra, and then attend a Sunday Mass in La Seo Cathedral. Then proceed to Barcelona Arrival around 4,30pm pm, and start with panoramic tour to see the main sites of the Spanish capital, before we end in hotel next to Plaza Catalunya, the main square of the city. Then for dinner in original Catalan eatery to taste seafood paella, the signature dish of the Catalonia, prepared in different way then Castilian one, using the local fish and seafood.
Day-7. BARCELONA: Visit La Boqueria, the most famous open air market in Europe with hundred of stalls where you can see preparation and of taste the original Catalan food and famous Jambon. Then go for guided tour of Barri Gothic, former fortified Roman village with Gothic monuments, the Cathedral, Ribera Quarter, the Columbus Lookout. In the afternoon start with Paella cooking workshop. During the next four hours you will have introduction to the secrets of the most famous Catalan dish, you will start to prepare the rice, work with safran and seafood under the supervision of the chef. All dishes will be tested after the cooking class.
Day-8. BARCELONA: Visit flamenco dancing school for 3 hours flamenco workshop. Learn about this famous dance known all over the world. Class is led by the professional dancer who will explain about the secrets of the dance. Then walk through Eixample area, with less tourists and more locals and where you can find some of the best galleries related to photography such as Manel Mayoral with art-work of contemporary photographers. Then to Maremagnum, the new and spectacular shopping and leisure centre in Barca port with aquarium and IMAX. In the evening optional flamenco tapas dinner and show at Tablao de Carmen, the best flamenco venue in Spain
Day-9. BARCELONA: Departure or stay for an extra day in Barcelona for visit the soccer match featuring FC. Barcelona or FC. Espanol.
