Day-1. CANADA TO ROME:
Day-2. ROME: Morning arrival Rome and transfer to the city for panoramic tour to see the main sites of the Eternal City like the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Roman Forum, Traian Forum and Capitoline Hill. Then start with tour of three Papal Basilicas of Rome. Visit Basilica of Saint Paul outside the Walls, the burial place of St. Paul, after his execution. Then we visit the Church of St. John Lateran to admire Escala Santa. This Basilica is where Pope Francis was installed as Bishop of Rome, and wherehe officiates as the Bishop of Rome. Later we visit Santa Croce in Jerusalem, one of seven pilgrimage church of Rome. At the time of opening, the floor of the church was covered with the soil from Jerusalem. Day-3. ROME: After breakfast, join your guide on shortwalk to Santa Maria maggiore, one of the greatest churches of Rome. Then metro @ walk tour to the sites of Baroque Rome. First visit world famous Trevi Fountain, once the main water supply for Rome and today one of the most famous sites of the city. Then just a short walk to Pantheon, to see this unique structure built in 2nd AD the only building without the windows. Later have some free time along via Corso, and Avenue of the Emperors. Rest of the day is projected for audience with former Pope Benedict (based on approval related to his health condition). Based on the fact that Benedict reside in Vatican, his Mass could be also held next day after the Popes Audience. B. D.
Day-4. VATICAN - POPES AUDIENCE: Great day in Rome. Transfer to vatican for Holy mass at St. Peters Basilica, one of the four Papal basilicas in Rome. You will attend the Hearing or Audience with Pope Francis* which will start at 11 am. After the audience or hearing you will attend the Holy Mass in St. Peters Basilica, led by Pope Francis or one of the high ranked priests. Later lunch on your own in Vatican and free time for individual activities. B.D
Day-5. ROME - ATHENS: Morning departure Rome. Transfer to the airport for your short (two hours) flight to Athens Upon arrival, transfer to the city and start with guided tour of the main sites of this ancient city, known as the cradle of the human civilization and the birth place of democracy Visit mars Hill place where St. Paul preached the Christianity, the Acropolis site with Parthenon, Temple of Athina Nike, and Theatreof Dionysius . Then transfer to your centrally located four tar hotel one the main avenueb just 350 metres from the main square of Athens. An open buffet dinner in hotel B.D.
Day-6. CRUISE - MYKONOS: Morning transfer to Pires, the main port of Greece and board your cruise ship. The capacity of 1,450 passengers, 7 decks, three restaurants, swimming pool, lounge, show theatre, library, casino, sport facilities, and gym. After safety procedure, sail toward Mykonos. Upon arrival (5 pm.) transfer to the town and join your tour director on walking tour to the famous windmills and “Little Venice” Open lunch and dinner on board B.L.D.
Day-7. CRUISE KUSADASI & PATMOS: Morning Arrival Kusadasi, one of the main trading towns in Asia Minor during the Ancient Greece. Board the Motor coach for ride to Ephesus, site of one of the “Seven Wonders of Ancient World”, (the Temple of Artemis). Also visit the Library of Celsus and the Aqueduct, where Paul spoke to Ephesians. Later visit the House of Virgin Mary. Early afternoon sail to Patmos. Upon arrival visit the Monastery and the Cave of St. John of Divine, where he wrote the Apocalyptic Revelations which constitute the last part of the new Testament. In the evening sail toCrete. Day-8. CRUISE: CRRETE & SANTORINI: Morning arrival Heraklion, the capital of Crete.Short ride to visit the Palace of Knossos, built by the Minoan Kings, considered as the first phase of Greek civilization from 20th BC. Then some time for walk through Heraklion before we sail to Santorini. Arrival around 3 pm. and time to visit the cliff hanging town of Thira. How to come there? three options for you to choose: Take a cable car (euro 4), walk (40 minutes steep uphill walk (free) or take the donkey (euro 5). Enjoy the spectacular sunset, considered as the most beautiful in the world, before we sail back to Greek mainland. Evening gala show and captain’s dinner. B.L.D
Day-9. ARGOLIS - ATHENS: Morning arrival Pireus, disembark the cruise ship and travel to Corinth, city where St. Paul spend over a year preaching the Christianity. Then to Athens. Spend the afternoon on Monastiraki Market and Plaka for some fun. Evening mariden farewell dinner wirh Greek live music and dance. B.D.
Day-10. DEPARTURE: Very early transfer to the airport for your return flight to Canada. B.
