Day-1. DEPARTURE CITY - GETTYSBURG:Flight or Motor coach ride will depend on the distance from your departure city. Travel to Gettysburg, pone of the most famous places in American history related to July 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 1863, known as the the Battle of Gettysburg. You will explore the largest battlefield shrine in America with over 1,000 monuments and cannon and over 40 miles of scenic avenues. Upon arrival, join the local guide for a guided tour tour of the battlefields which is now a national park. This tour will cover some of the historic battlefields where the Union solders fought the Confederate army. You will also visit: the Cemetery Ridge, where Abraham Lincoln delivered his Gettysburg Address. Then to Washington for overnight.
Day-2. WASHINGTON:Visit the Arlington Cemetery where many outstanding Americans, including JFK are buried, the Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, W.W.II Memorial and the Reflecting Pool. Then see the Korean and Vietnam War Memorial, and finally the White House, where you can stop for a photo opportunity. Then on to Rock Creek Park and Embassy Row. Inside visit of National Cathedral. In the evening visit historic Georgetown. Free time on M Street, the glitzy shopping district and the heart of Georgetown.
Day-3. WASHINGTON: Start your day early with your private tour of the National Archives building before the archives open. Archives official will take you to see the American Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and The Bill of Right Rights. Then visit the Library of Congress and the Jefferson Room,. Later visit the Holocaust Museum as well as Air and Space Museum, where you can see Apollo 11 Command Module.
Day-4. RICHMOND-MT. VERNON: Travel to Richmond the former capital of Confederate America. Visit the Museum and White House of Confederacy, the second oldest working Capitol in the United States. Later visit St. John's Church - Built in 1741, the oldest church in Richmond and the site of theSecond Virginia Convention and Patrick Henry's famous "Give me liberty or give me death" speech. Travel back to Washington area to visit George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens nestled on scenic Potomac River. Free time to wander around the area and and explore the farm where Washington lived.
